The Watchman’s Mandate: A Call to Biblical Endurance
To the Church of the Living God—Pastors, Ministers, Bishops, Elders, and Fellow Believers:
We are not lacking information—we are lacking preparation. In a time when knowledge is abundant, many have mistaken assumption for faith. We assume we will be removed before the trial. We assume the oil in our lamps is sufficient. We assume that because we know the Truth, we are prepared to endure the Deception.
But the Word of God tells a different story.
God never reveals a coming crisis without simultaneously requiring a season of preparation. Joseph was given a seven-year window to prepare for a seven-year famine. God revealed the crisis—and required preparation before it came. That pattern has not changed.
Even the smallest among us carries this wisdom. Scripture says:
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.”
— Proverbs 6:6–8
The ant does not wait for an overseer to tell it winter is coming. The ant is obedient to the season. The Church must stop waiting for a permission slip from the pulpit to start preparing for the harvest and the hardship.
Scripture makes clear that the last days will not only be marked by trouble, but by powerful deception:
“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:9–12
The dividing line is not intelligence, access, or awareness—it is whether a person has received and loves the truth.
If deception is coming, then believers must be prepared to stand. If strong delusion is real, then obedience to the truth is not a side issue—it is a matter of spiritual survival.
Only those who receive and love the truth will endure.
We must also look at the Ten Virgins in Matthew 25. All ten were waiting for the Bridegroom. All ten fell asleep. But only five had readiness. The oil in their lamps was not luck. It was preparedness. When the midnight cry rang out, the time for preparation had already passed.
Preparedness leads to Readiness.
Readiness allows for Endurance.
Endurance is the requirement for Salvation.
“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
— Matthew 24:13
God has given us a clear warning regarding our responsibility to see what is coming and take action. He emphasized this truth twice in Proverbs so that we would not miss it:
“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.”
— Proverbs 22:3; 27:12
The prudent are those who recognize the shadow of coming trouble and prepare a place of safety. The simple are those who ignore the signs, assume they are safe, and suffer the consequences.
God has not left His people without instruction. He has already given us a biblical blueprint for how to stand against the devil, against deception, and against the darkness of this age:
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
— Ephesians 6:11–17
That sounds like preparedness because it is preparedness. Truth, righteousness, faith, the gospel, salvation, and the Word of God are not abstract ideas. They are the armor believers must wear if they intend to endure.
This is where the battle is fought—within. If the enemy can sit in the mind and take hold of the heart, the temple is already compromised.
I pose this question to every Christian man who claims to be the protector of his home, and to every shepherd who claims to be preparing the flock of God:
Can you close your front door today—with no power, no grocery stores, and no government assistance—and keep your family healthy, fed, spiritually grounded, and emotionally stable for 90 days?
If the answer is no, you are not merely failing a political test. You are failing a stewardship test. Scripture says that if a man does not provide for his own household, he has denied the faith.
Preparedness is not panic—it is responsibility, stewardship, and obedience.
The Preparedness Awareness Community Academy (TPACA) was built to help believers bridge that gap through the Four Pillars of Preparedness.
Preparedness is not one-dimensional. It is expressed through four essential areas revealed throughout Scripture.
Spiritual Preparedness is the foundation of everything. It means knowing God, believing the Gospel, and walking in obedience to His Word. Jesus Christ is the Cornerstone upon which everything else is built. Through Him we are anchored in truth, and through Him we find freedom from the burdens of sin and fear.
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
— John 8:32
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
— Proverbs 9:10
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
— James 4:7
Mental Preparedness is the discipline of the mind. It includes the ability to recognize deception, think clearly under pressure, and remain focused when others are panicking or confused. It also includes financial awareness and stability, requiring foresight, and discipline.
Mental preparedness requires discernment—the ability to recognize when visible events are being used as distractions that pull believers away from guarding the true temple within.
“Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
— Romans 12:2
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
— Ephesians 6:11
“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
— 2 Timothy 2:3
A prepared mind is calm, alert, focused, and grounded in truth.
Practical Preparedness is the development of stewardship, skills, tools, and resources necessary to provide for yourself and those entrusted to your care. It includes solving real-world problems, building systems of support, and functioning when normal systems fail.
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them… is like a wise man which built his house upon a rock…”
— Matthew 7:24–25
“By faith Noah… prepared an ark to the saving of his house…”
— Hebrews 11:7
“But if any provide not for his own… he hath denied the faith…”
— 1 Timothy 5:8
Practical preparedness turns knowledge into capability.
Physical Preparedness is the strength and endurance of the body. Scripture calls believers to discipline the body, build strength, and remain ready for hardship.
“Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost…”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19
“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection…”
— 1 Corinthians 9:27
“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith… be strong.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:13
Physical preparedness includes health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness—the ability to remain steady when circumstances become difficult.
Together, these four pillars form the structure through which preparedness leads to readiness, readiness to endurance, and endurance to salvation.
This is also a call to the shepherds. Pastors, ministers, bishops, and elders will be held accountable for how they prepared the flock. If the Church is experiencing a great falling away, then leadership must stop mistaking comfort for faithfulness and stop treating preparedness as if it were a lack of faith.
We are all called to be disciples of Jesus Christ. And disciples do not hide. Disciples go. They knock on doors. They spread the Gospel. They warn the people. They make disciples of all nations. This is part of what it means to become a Preparer.
We use preparedness as a tool to awaken lukewarm Christians, to stir them to repentance, and to set them on fire for Jesus Christ. The goal is not merely to survive a crisis. The goal is to become faithful disciples who are spiritually alert, mentally sharp, practically equipped, and physically able to carry responsibility in an age of deception.
There is no need for fear. The only One you should fear is God Almighty. When your fear is correctly placed in Him, you are liberated to prepare with peace, sobriety, and joy.
Do not be the sluggard who ignores the harvest.
Do not be the foolish virgin who runs out of oil when the darkness hits.
Do not be the simple who passes on to punishment.
Do not be the lukewarm believer who assumes readiness without obedience.
Adopt a Culture of Preparedness today.
This is not a message to consider—it is a mandate to act.
The alarm has been sounded.
The mandate is clear.
The time to prepare is now.
Prepare. Be Ready. Endure. Be Saved.
Obedience to God’s Word is Preparedness.
If this message speaks to you, share it with your pastor, your church leaders, and your fellow believers. Let this be a conversation that begins in your home and reaches the house of God.
